The analysis of the accident is one of the key tools for assessments on the security of the road network as it identifies on the road network the "points blacks" in which accidents occurred more frequently, providing detailed information on the nature, severity and causes of accidents.
Objectives:
- analyze the phenomenon of the accident of a transportation system by identifying the critical points;
- understand the main causes of accidents;
- make recommendations, guidelines and actions aimed at design of more effective countermeasures to minimize the economic cost.
Benefits:
Being able to focus further analysis and testing (Safety Review and Safety Impact Assessment) to those with the most significant elements of the network, reducing the costs of validation.
Analysis process:
- Data Collection and Surveys
- Analysis and evaluation of the phenomenon:
- quantitative analysis
- qualitative analysis
- Planning of interventions:
- classification of possible causes
- recommendations on action to be taken
- Monitoring of results:
- comparison Before/After
- analysis cross section
